DIY Sketchbooks

To, prep I laid out all our supplies and pre-cut the cardboard needed. Students folded sheets of paper in half to go in the middle, and when finished, had fun decorating the front and back cover. I allowed them to paint the books, or glue patterned paper. If I ran this project again, I wouldn't use paint, as after they painted, they couldn't decorate it anymore, or tape it together due to it being wet. After everything was done, they would come to me where we worked together to tape the spine, making sure each edge of the paper was touching it. With extra time, they can start using their brand-new sketch book.
